After that it was all excellent communication and help from Matt Post that sealed the deal. He also made sure he exhausted every option to get me the best price which resulted in substantial savings on my part. Tried to purchase an suv with a verbal in person out the door price then once we told them we had a GM discount code the deal went bad. We walked out. Few days later sales guy said that same suv sold after sitting on lot for over 60 days which was a lie. It still sits on their lot and now they have added an extra $400 savings of $2400 that was $2000 savings. Being lied to that the suv sold when it still shows for sale on their website and it is still sitting on their lot. Not very professional when the manager argues with the customer either!

Short version: 7 months of headache, additional
Short version: 7 months of headache, additional unnecessary hard inquiries, missed work, wasted time, spent over $100k in 2025 on brand new vehicles that were promised to be fixed and looks terrible. Long version: Made an appt for my husband and I. We were both trading in our vehicles. Both purchased from tom gill. 2019 Colorado and 2024 trax. Traded the truck in for a 2026 Colorado trail boss, I wanted a 2026 terrain but Jimmy refused to order it and was very pushy for me to order a Chevrolet and I did but with immediate regret and before they placed the order I told them I want to stand my ground and order what I came in for so they transferred me to Hamilton store and placed the order. Side note on the truck, there were some blemishes in the paint and we were promised they would get it like new. Took it to collision and they missed half of the spots so had to bring it back again and still notable, my husband just felt defeated and accepted it but we dread it every time wash it and see these flaws on a brand new $50k truck…. Unreal. Back to it, I was told it would only take a month or two and I would get weekly updates. I did not get weekly updates and had to ask several times for updates. Well, they finally were accepting the order the last week of Dec and at that same time the rep said he could trade Columbus for the one I want and I could have it in a couple days vs a couple months so I took off work and drove an hour up to Hamilton only for me to arrive and it not be the correct vehicle that I was ordering. So now this is the 2nd hard inquiry on my credit for no reason… so he says he will figure out a trade and update me by the end of the week. I reached out several times and never heard back so Sunday I decided I needed to just switch back to Chevrolet and deal with the florence shop since it’s closer to home and I found a traverse that I really liked so I made the appt and went in to buy it. Experience was good, was told my credit wouldn’t be pulled again but it was which is not the 3rd hard inquiry. We do a walk around on the $60k brand new vehicle w 14 miles and found a few paint chips. Mention it and were told that it’s not an issue because the collision dept will get us right in and get it taken care of. Well I didn’t hear from them for weeks and then when they booked it they were a month out so I said ok and waited. I show up and they put me in a smaller car that was electric and missing the charging adapter. I asked for updates on my car and no response for days so I called after they had it for 4 days and they are like oh yeah it’s been done, come get it now. I’m like you close in an hr, I can’t make that so they left it service. I arrive to find GLOBS of paint on the chipped spots. Looks so much worse than before. So I tell them and they schedule me back in but of course not for nearly a month again… and the collision guy wants to keep arguing w me saying that’s all they are allowed to do anything more without sals adding it to the work order and he even said he doesn’t know what I expect… smh. and the manager in sales admitted it looked bad the first time but claimed that they made it better… I just stopped by and looked at it.. one spot looks exactly the same, 2 spots look better but still noticeable, and the last spot just looks terrible… the manager says “you don’t want us repaint it because we will have to disassemble things and report it to car fax which won’t be good for you and you will end up with rattling parts” then offers to quote me for ceramic wrap because he owns a ceramic company… this is insane. Paying msrp for a brand new vehicle 2x in a row and here we are with 2 damaged vehicles that were over $110k … not to mention how much we’ve spent there, we have purchased 5 vehicles, 4 brand new.

I didn't buy a car here. I had a great experience still, and consider myself a customer. I'm 50 years old and I buy 1 year old used cars when needed, and pay cash. In talking with 10-12 different dealerships, over a 2 week period, one guy stood out. It was at Tom Gill's Chevy, and his name was Elijah. Compared to any other dealer or salesperson- I asked a question, I got an immediate response. I asked for Pictures and he send videos. I asked questions that required his time and research and I got a fast response. I asked him things no sales person would know on a used car and he connected the dots to my answers, when other's wouldn't, and he still did it Fast! In the end, my wife wanted a different color and I went that direction. It bummed me out, because I truly wanted Elijah to have my business. He earned it. He was so gracious and kind, even after hearing her decision. I didn't buy from him, but he still made me a customer...because any future car purchase from here on out, I will start with Elijah and his inventory. I've made a good living in the same sales job for 30 years, and finding people that care about their customer and their craft, is becoming so uncommon. He loves what he does and I felt that. Elijah is fast and responsive without being pushy and full of xx. I continually look for people like him to hire in my industry, and I can't find them. I've never bought a car from Tom Gill's and wish I had with Elijah. The deal was right, the respect, and commitment he showed me, was unmatched. That's what impressed me enough to write this review.

I have tried talking to someone about engine warranty and no one will pick up or return calls. Once they sell you the car, thats it. They wash their hands of you.

I came in interested in a particular vehicle which happened to be unavailable by time I made it in. John was able to find me a few comparable alternatives that met my needs. We were able to come to an out the door price that worked for me. Compared to other local dealers I have worked with the whole experience was very relaxed. I never felt pressured on any aspect of the purchase from the vehicle to optional protection packages, and when declining some of their options they heard my answer and did not try to push me into purchasing something I was not interested in. Additionally, they price matched my trade in from a previous offer. I do not find purchasing a vehicle to be a particularly enjoyable event due to the stress of spending a substantial amount of money and wondering if you’re getting a fair deal or not. As stated earlier John made the whole experience as relaxed as it can be and I never felt pressured to make a decision out of emotion. I would gladly give Tom Gill Chev future business.

John Lillie was an incredible help when I first came actually even had the car I wanted to look at up by the building when I got there. Sadly I didn’t have the money on me to buy it right there so it did end up selling before I came back. There was no pressure put on me to buy the car either so they did get my business later that day, because it was so stress free. A few hours before they closed I came back John was helping another customer so he introduced me to Evan Weigand. Evan rode with me around the lot in a few cars, and we actually ended up in the car that was his neighbor’s car so he knew it was well taken care of and was even able to call him right on the spot for any questions we had about the car. The best part about it is he worked with me on the price so I could walk out the door with it with the money I actually had available. I will be continuing to go to Tom Gill Chevrolet

Evan and Chris were absolutely great! Upon arrival, they made my wife and I feel like family! Evan worked out a deal with me before heading to the dealership and they honored it without hesitation. They allowed me to review the car in depth, highlighted any features they thought important and followed up after the purchase! While my car was in service (oil change and new rims) I
While my car was in service (oil change and new rims) I was brought a rental which had a flat tire when it was pulled up front. The second rental brought to me had a flat within a couple hours of driving off the premises. I didn’t hit anything and called the service manager to express my concerns that this tire may have also been damaged prior to leaving the lot. I patched the tire and retuned it. They said I should have inspected the tires prior to leaving and my honesty would result in a 200 + bill. I would imagine this would have been difficult for any customer to inspect without the car being lifted. I also doubt they would have noticed if I hadn’t mentioned it since They had no inspection paperwork to share with me where their team inspected the car prior to handing off to me. All that was done was a quick walk around. It took the service manager several days to respond and when I expressed how his response would challenge future business with Tom Gill including the new car I was buying and upcoming paint job etc. (not to mention I just purchased a brand new blazer from them) I never received another response from anyone on their team after I sent this message. I then messaged the sales team letting them know I would no longer move forward with future purchase. The service manager still has not responded

After deciding on which vehicle we wanted to purchase, much of the final sales procedures were done electrically. This cuts down the amount of time spent waiting tremendously. While I’ve had positive experiences with Tom Gill in the past, this particular service experience was disappointing.

I purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado at this dealership. My sales consultant Jessika was busy at the time and hooked me up with Evan. Evan was very helpful and stayed quite a bit past closing time to take care of everything with the sale. Jessika followed up with me the next day to see if I had any questions or concerns. But, my story doesn't end there. Later that evening, I had trouble with an oil leak on the vehicle. I called in and reported it. The service department immediately had the truck towed in and looked at. The issue was fixed right away and was taken care of without cost to me. A big thank you to Matt, my service advisor. Jessika stayed in touch throughout the process also until everything was resolved. While it was unfortunate the truck had an issue, I was so impressed with how quickly and thoroughly the issue was resolved. I can't say enough about how impressed and pleased I am with my experience at Tom Gill Chevrolet. A great big thank you to Jessika, Evan, and Matt!

Purchased many vehicles from Tom Gill and never really had issue until now. We purchased a new 2025 Chevy Equinox and the digital rear view mirror was perfect at night. Now the when using the mirror, the headlights seen in the mirror are nothing but starburst and xxxxx of light. I can barely make out what's being me. Took it on for service but was told there was nothing wrong with the mirror and they are refusing to fix it. I provided pictures to them to show exactly the issue. I think this will be the last Chevy we will purchase or any vehicle from Tom Gill unless they decide to fix this issue. I'm starting to lose trust in them.
