Here at Tom Gill Chevrolet we work hard to offer a dynamic inventory of new Chevy models to our Cincinnati, OH and Covington customers. Our team is here to help you find what’s right for your needs, whether that’s a family-size SUV, an efficient Chevy EV, or a rugged truck. However, if you explore our current inventory and you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, you may be interested in the option to build a custom Chevy. Can you buy a car directly from the manufacturer? Yes! We explain more about what you should know regarding factory order cars, below.
Yes, you can buy a car directly from the manufacturer. Generally, you have two options. You can start your build on the OEM website and select your nearest dealership to connect with and complete the purchase. Or, you can skip straight to the dealership and have them create the order for you.
At Tom Gill Chevrolet, our team is happy to walk you through how to order a car from the factory from start to finish! You can work with us to choose the model, trim, color, packages, and everything else to ensure your factory-order car meets your expectations. We’ll see to it that your order is submitted promptly, then follow up when the VIN and tracking details are available. Eventually, you’ll return to us to pick up your custom factory-order car!
Due to a variety of impacting factors like the global pandemic and inventory shortages, it can take a little longer these days than in years past to receive a custom-ordered car. Right now, you should expect a wait time of 10 to 12 weeks for your custom Chevy order to be received, processed, built, and delivered to the dealership for pickup. However, depending on the model and availability, some Independence drivers are still pleasantly surprised to receive their vehicles earlier than that projected timeline.
You’re always welcome to head right over to Tom Gill Chevrolet if you’d like to work directly with a specialist on building and ordering your Chevy from scratch. However, you can also get started on your own online:
